PHP Programming/ Web Development
My most recent work has been in the field of PHP programming. I have been involved in many different development projects at many different stages, including creating sites from scratch and developing specific solutions for specific needs. Comfortable working alone or as part of a team, my resume includes work using Javascript, AJAX, SOAP, XML, MySQL, Postgres, Perl, Python, Plone (CMS Software), CSS, Flash, CGI, and more. Server Administration
I have a number of UNIX servers that I manage both locally and internationally. They have all the standard services such as MySQL and I am able to install additional services if need be. Other Technologies
During a year-long stint of employment at Infinity Solutions, I worked with .NET technologies such as Visual Basic, .NET C#. I was part of a team developing complex applications that tied in with SQL.
Some of the applications that I worked on -
Licensys License Plate System - This was a system that processed the plate allocation for standard and personalised plates, handled the printing of plates, and distributed them to the customer (integrated with the courier company), and a database system that was tied in with the Australian license plate system.
Fullers Ferries Ticketing System- This was a system that had a fully functioning touch screen point of sale service and had a complex backend that created detailed reporting of sales.
Education
I graduated in 2003 from the University of Auckland in 2003 with my Bachelor of Science, with a Major in Computer Science. Around the same time I got my
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification Level 1 and 2.
A few years before I went to university I completed a semester-long Semester C Programming Course and a 1 Semester Computer Assisted Drafting Course at AIT.
